  1. 20 yrs from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. ~ Mark Twain

Important versus Urgent

It’s important to remember that some things are important but not urgent. You might think that you have plenty of time to get them done, but you should start now. When you don’t do important things it will make your life worse because…

1. You will regret it in 20 yrs

2. It can be very difficult to start something after procrastinating about it for too long

3. Important things take time and effort; they are not easy, but you will benefit when you do them well (you always learn more when you study than when you don’t)

I am writing about getting things done. It is easy to coast, take it easy, or waste time on mindless meaningless things. We should spend our energy on things that really matter in the long run.

Some activities bring no long-term value like watching TV shows and movies without paying attention to them or lounging around all day instead of doing anything productive. You may be thinking, “Now hold on Jason, everyone needs a break!” Of course, they do. We all need a break and to take time to recharge. The problem is that these types of mindless behaviors will start taking up far more time than you ever planned on.

Many people procrastinate about doing important things by wasting time on unimportant activities that serve no real purpose.

We need to focus on what’s important for success in this world and not let ourselves get distracted by unimportant activities like the ones I’ve mentioned!

I hope you find this topic interesting enough so that you can start to evaluate what you’re spending your time on, and start “getting the RIGHT things done” today.
